Here’s the thing… I’m a grossly underpaid writer who works for a casino. I don’t like having to get up every day to go work for the man and making him rich. Fortunately for the casino, I enjoy writing, but the stress of making so little money when I know I am worth so much more is starting to get to me. I’m going to take my abilities as a writer and build my own business with it.
For about a year now, I have worked as a freelance copywriter on the side. I’ve written articles, web content, ads, documents, and etc., but it’s only been for a bit of small change when I needed a little extra money. I’m going to try to turn my side gig into a full time one where I can earn at least as much as I do working for the casino, plus benefits. Believe me, it ain’t a lot, but it’s a goal.
And with that goal in mind, I have created Kirkland Writing Services, a one man business dedicated to writing excellent money-making copy for businesses and organizations. As long as I’m writing, I’m enjoying myself. Might as well make money doing it.
